Who we are

CayPractice is provided by Cayworks, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. This notice explains how we handle personal data under the Data Protection Act (2021 Revision). Contact us about privacy at info@cayworks.com.

Demo requests from this website

When you ask for a demo we collect the details you enter: your name, clinic, email, and optionally your phone or WhatsApp number, role, number of providers and message. We use them only to reply to you and arrange a demonstration. We don't sell them or use them for unrelated marketing. We keep them for up to 24 months after our last contact with you unless you become a customer, and delete them sooner if you ask.

To protect the form from abuse we briefly record a one-way fingerprint of your network address for rate limiting.

Patient and clinic data in the CayPractice platform

Each clinic using CayPractice is the data controller for its patients' records; Cayworks processes that data on the clinic's behalf and on its instructions, under a written agreement with the clinic. Patients with questions about their records should contact their clinic.

Health data is sensitive personal data. Access requires a password and a code from an authenticator app, is limited by role, and is recorded in an audit log. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Cayworks platform administrators manage clinic accounts but cannot open patient records through the platform.

CayPractice is hosted with cloud providers that may store data outside the Cayman Islands. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards as required by the Act; details are set out in each clinic's agreement.

Service providers

We use service providers to run CayPractice: website and application hosting, a managed database, and an email delivery service for account emails such as password resets. They process data only to provide their service to us.

Cookies

The public website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. When you sign in, CayPractice sets a single essential cookie to keep you signed in securely.

Your rights

You can ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, or object to how we use it, by emailing info@cayworks.com. If you're not satisfied with our answer you can complain to the Ombudsman of the Cayman Islands.
